Chord progressions

I just recorded some jazz chord progressions with my upright piano.
I am certain that if i pair this with the kinds of imagery I have, the video will end up being overly sentimental. I wonder how I can subvert that? Perhaps this piece is about how all videos are inherently nostalgic and it gives itself away to poeticization? Or that it has now become super easy to poeticize all images – even the banal? Perhaps this piece is about the process of poeticizing the banal?

I tried some voice-overs but it then becomes quite predictable.
If I only use chord progressions it will lack the structural/narrative element taht I was hoping to reconcile with the addition of a narrated short story.

What to do?
